Climbing Classes

You do not need to take a class to climb at GT-Rocks! –
these classes are offered for those that wish to take rock climbing to the next level and learn more about the sport.

Intro to rock climbing (ages 7-12)
Tuesday 5pm - 7pm
6 week session
Includes a second free climbing day pass/harness rental each week
that can be used Monday or Friday during normal business hours

GT-Rocks Climbing Club!
Club meets on Mondays, once a week to work on technique, discuss training schedules, set goals and evaluate results. Club members can climb during any regular open business hours. Club will also discuss optional trips to competitions in the state.

Lead Climbing Class
Learn what it’s like to be on the “sharp end of the rope.”!
This lead climbing class is required by all climbers who would like to participate in lead climbing at GT-Rocks. Climbers will become familiar with lead climbing techniques, mental aspects, lead-belaying, GT Rock’s policies and safety specifics for lead climbing on our indoor wall.
Must be able to climb 5.10 to take this class.

Belay Lesson
Available upon request (we do not offer these lessons when we are busy)
We offer belay lessons at a very reasonable price because we want to encourage you to get involved in the climbing process. Lessons take about 45 min to complete.
